REBECCA ASH | ANXIETY & TRAUMA THERAPIST

Your path to personal freedom starts here. Let’s chart the course together.

Where did you get this idea that you have to be perfect?

You keep pushing yourself because that's what you've always done, but it's starting to feel like too much. The pressure to please everyone around you and “have it all together” feels suffocating. You might be noticing your friends and family don't quite get how heavy this struggle is and how conflicted you feel inside. It’s like you’re trying to find your way through the maze, but you keep going in circles. You're craving a safe space where you can be honest and find the freedom to explore and wonder, but it's like there's no room for that anywhere.

Pause. Take a deep breath. You’ve come to the right place.

Meet your therapist.

Hi, I’m Rebecca! I work with motivated women who want to break free from people-pleasing, overcome anxiety and self-doubt, heal from past trauma, particularly childhood wounds, and work through difficult life transitions. My passion lies in guiding clients through rediscovering their self-worth, improving their relationships, and feel more empowered in their lives. After two decades working in higher education, I bring a unique perspective to therapy, combining my experience with a compassionate, person-centered approach.

The name of my practice, ‘Wild Sunflower,’ is inspired by my favorite flower, the sunflower. To me, sunflowers often symbolize sunshine and joy—feelings I hope reach my clients. The name also reflects the idea that we are not meant to be perfect; like sunflowers, we are wild and free to grow in our own unique way.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy staying physically active, spending time with family and friends, unwinding with Harry Potter movies or The Office re-runs, and reading the latest true crime novel!

If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing and self-discovery, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

I believe in therapy that feels…

safe.

understanding.

collaborative.

healing.

encouraging.

non-judgmental.

empowering.

refreshing.

I believe therapy is what you make it.

How I work

While I provide guidance and direction, you’ll feel ownership as we focus on what you want to achieve while you’re here. This can look like diving deeper into what you’re feeling and how trauma works, so that you can understand what’s happening to your brain and body. Sometimes sessions include learning coping skills and techniques that you can utilize day-to-day to find relief and peace, or simply “be.”

Some days we might spend time reconstructing beliefs or cultivating self-love, but I want you to know that no matter what we work on, I will be there to encourage you and cheer you on. Think of me as a co-pilot, journeying alongside you helping to navigate towards your destination.

This journey isn’t always going to be easy…

But you’ve made it this far, and I know you can survive this. I’ll hold space for the tough questions, believing that therapy isn’t a place to be “fixed,” but an opportunity to grow. Here, you can feel validated in your feelings and know that I’m committed to helping you become your best self; whatever that looks like for you.

With me as a therapist, what you see is what you’re going to get. I don’t claim to be perfect, and I don’t expect you to be either. I love connecting with others and am known for being someone who is warm and approachable. I’d be honored to help you find what you’re looking for or release the pain you’ve been holding onto.
